After being in the business for over 20 years, one of the most common questions we get asked is- What do I put on my plaque? While we encourage all customers to make plaques as personal as possible, we are happy to guide you along your path. On the K2Awards.com website, most products have templates that can easily be customized with personalized information.
What Should I Put On A Plaque?
- Hit all the key points. Make sure you have the recipient’s name, the reason for the award and the date.
- Be as concise as possible. Too many words add clutter.
- Be focused. An award should clearly state why the recipient is being honored. Let the awardee know why they are so special.
- Check your spelling, particularly all names. Then check again. And again. If you get a proof- Triple check it again!
- Consider adding a graphic or logo. Be Creative! Graphics programs make us all artists and will help you realize your vision. If you are not sure, you can generally ask for help with the images in the order comments.
- Have fun with it! The most memorable awards have the most personality.
It’s important to keep the content on the plaque concise and relevant, while also making it aesthetically pleasing. The recipient will likely display the award plaque in a prominent place, so it’s important that it represents the occasion and the achievement in a meaningful and lasting way.
Below you will find sample wording for plaques. But please feel free to adjust.
